Who We Are and What We Do
Situated in a lovely part of Hampshire.
Anna Beck has been around horses all of her life as her mother Gerda Weston was a successful Show Jumper before Anna was born and also ran a riding school and livery yard. Anna had her first pony at the age of two and by the age of six was rugging up her mother’s 16.2hh horses by standing on a bucket.

Due to lack of finances Anna and her mother would always purchase problem ponies and would work tirelessly on re-schooling them and transforming them into top class show jumping ponies. As a junior Anna competed these ponies to the highest level including the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley, Hickstead and represented her County. While Anna was riding ponies, she went to train with Tina and Graham Fletcher. While at a show, Gerda got chatting to Tina and it was decided that Anna would go and live with them and train into the senior ranks. After finding out these plans, Anna ended up cancelling all college plans and moved in with them the next day! Anna gained fantastic experience from them and learnt so much from riding and competing their horses.

However, in order for her to make a name for herself she decided to leave Tina and Graham’s yard to help with her mums passion of breeding and producing the ultimate Show Jumping horses and accepted a job in an office to help finance her sport. Anna and her Mother went about developing a breeding programme and invested in a brood mare Gretna. Gretna had jumped for Italy in her younger years, was double branded and had won a gold medal for her mare grading but was looking for a quieter life. We have produced several of Gretnas foals through the grades and have sold them on, two of these were sold to Germany for Dressage.

For 4 years, Anna was based in Guernsey where she worked for Close Trustees Guernsey Limited (part of the Close Brothers Group) and then for Deutsche Bank. Anna would fly back to Southampton every weekend for competitions and had also been known to fly back for the day when there was a specific midweek show and nearly all of her holiday was used up for the 3 and 4 day shows held during the summer months. However, Anna’s string of Show Jumpers increased in size and talent which meant Anna made the decision at the end of 2006 to move back to the UK to assist her Mother with the running of the stables. This move has proved invaluable and enables Anna to ride and train her horses as well as attending shows during the week providing she is not needed on the yard

Anna’s team consists of some very exciting and talented horses which are mainly homebreds. Weston Warmbloods have a very active breeding program and over the next few years are looking to build up a string of quality horses. Anna has many ambitions for 2022 which are mainly focused on the young horses and getting them qualified for the many age and novices classes that there are around the country.

Cristallo Equine is a family run business and was set up in 2014 by mother and daughter team Julie and Elizabeth Baker. Between them they have worked hard to create a stunning selection of handmade equestrian products.

Natasha started Cristallo Equine in March 2021. Natasha has been around horses all her life, competing ponies at top level show jumping and then moving on to horses for a period of time. She also owns a successful full livery yard and was based alongside International show jumping producer and rider Julian Mincher for over 10 years owning a successful string of top level show jumping horses.
Moving into equestrian retail is an extension of her passion, providing only the brands she would use herself. Although a brand new company, Cristallo has gone from strength to strength and this is all down to the complete commitment and future vision of which Natasha has for the company.

The gap between our “sports” clothes and what we used to wear to ride a horse always seemed strange to us. And then over time it became so absurd to feel restricted and embarrassed that we decided to create Horse Pilot.

Horse Pilot designs technical clothing for riders who live horseback riding as a sport. A sport in which we move, sweat, take rain and sometimes fall. To meet these needs, we implement all the tools offered by textile technology: materials, cuts and constructions that provide support, breathing, insulation and protection.

We think that with the right equipment, we can climb longer, better, surpass ourselves, enjoy. And since we like to ride a horse, it would be a shame to deprive ourselves of all this.
